Privacy statement Megalux Display Solutions

Megalux Display Solutions B.V. (Megalux) attaches great importance to the protection of personal data. In our privacy statement we share how we handle personal data. Our policy is aligned with the General Data Protection Regulation as it applies in the Netherlands and Europe.

Which personal data do we use?
We only use personal data that is necessary for a good service. This includes: Company name, name and full surname of the contact person, address, telephone number, email address and other information that are important for good communication.

Do you have to provide us with your details?
No that is not necessary. However, if you want to purchase a product or service from us, we must have access to your personal and company data for its implementation. If you do not want to provide it to us, we cannot meet your wishes to provide services or goods.

Goals
The bases for the processing of personal data by Megalux are:

– Sending information on request; – Preparing and sending a requested quotation; – Preparing an order confirmation; – The execution of an agreed assignment: in order to perform our work correctly, it is necessary that we process certain personal data; – Any work under warranty.

Receivers
Our services may involve recipients of personal data. This concerns third parties that we engage for our own services. This concerns, for example, software suppliers, third parties who take care of the maintenance of our ICT systems, fellow consultants or technical service providers involved in the execution of an assignment. If there is access to personal data, a processor agreement is concluded, in which agreements are made to guarantee the correct processing and security of your personal data.

Storage of data
When we process your personal data, we never store it longer than necessary for the execution of the assignment or the provision of warranty and service. When the storage of your data is no longer necessary, the data is deleted from our systems.

Provision to third parties
Your personal data (outside the aforementioned cases) will only be passed on to third parties if there is a legal obligation to do so or if you have given your consent for this.

Your rights
You have the right to be informed about the processing of your personal data before this processing takes place. You have the right to access your personal data that we process. You have the right to rectify or delete your personal data. We will cooperate in this unless there are legal or other compelling obstacles to doing so. In that case we will inform you about this. You have the right to object to the processing and to ask us to stop or limit the processing. If there are no legal or other compelling obstacles we will do this. If you want to exercise your rights, you can submit a request in writing or by email. Please note that we will verify your identity before we can provide the requested information.

Security
We do everything we can to guarantee your privacy. We comply with applicable laws and regulations in all cases. Our employees are bound by a duty of confidentiality. Our computer systems and buildings are secured at a level that is necessary and appropriate given the nature and volume of the personal data to be processed. We only work with organizations that can guarantee at least the same level of security. Despite all measures we take, a breach or data breach can never be completely ruled out. If an incident occurs, further investigations will be conducted immediately and measures will be taken to prevent further damage. As required by law, a data breach that could have serious consequences will be reported to the Dutch Data Protection Authority and the persons involved whose data it concerns. We do not register fraud-sensitive payment information such as credit card details, etc.

If you have a complaint about the processing of your personal data, please contact us. You always have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
